June President's Report
Dear Members,
We are a few weeks away from opening the official Pheasant Walk website. The Communications Committee has been working on this project with our website maintenance provider. You will soon be able to view the website by going to Pheasantwalkhoa.com. The site will have up to date By-Laws, Covenants, and Declarations for the Association, ARB Approval forms, contact information for The Board of Directors and Property Management, and other important community information. We will inform the community as soon as the site is completed.
The street sign project is moving toward completion. Hopefully you have noticed that our street signs are going up all over the community. We still have signs that are in the process of completion but this should be finished very soon.
The Declaratory Judgement action should be on the court docket shortly. Once we have a judgement from the court, we will move forward regardless of the outcome of the court's decision. We will keep the community informed as we progress.
Vandalism ( graffiti ) continues to be a problem in Pheasant Walk. The Board has submitted a written request for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department to enforce the trespassing ordinance in our park and at our dock, after dusk. If you notice suspicious activity after dusk at either location, please contact PBSO for response. The private patrols can respond if they are on duty, but they have no authority to enforce the trespassing ordinance.
We have taken the liberty to print photographs of graffiti discovered on our walls recently (SEE PAGE 2). This is the same artwork ( or TAG ) that we have been removing from our common area walls and street signs for several months, leading us to believe that it is the work of someone who lives in our community. If you recognize the handy-work of this vandal, please contact Pointe Management or a Board member. Your call will be handled anonymously and the information will be turned over to PBSO for investigation and prosecution.
Our volunteers have been making significant progress each Saturday morning in opening the park entrance for our members in Section One. If anyone would like to help out, please contact Pointe Management. This is a community project and a large number of volunteers have worked hard at clearing the area to re-open and maintain this entrance.
The Board of Directors has approved the relocation of the software controls for Channel 63. As many of you are aware, we have lost the signal for several weeks at a time. Adelphia Cable has an obligation under our contract to maintain that channel for community information. Unfortunately, Pointe Management cannot monitor the channel because it is only available to residents living in Pheasant Walk. We are working with Adelphia to relocate and update the software to the home of one of our residents who serves on the Communication Committee. This should enable us to keep our residents better informed of community information and activities.
Sincerely,
Bill Schira, President
For the Board of Directors
