Dear Members,
We had perfect weather and a great turn out for the picnic in the park. Well over 200 hot dogs were served and the bounce house and face painter were busy all afternoon. The board would like to thank all the residents and vendors that donated their efforts to make the picnic a success. On the business side the board has approved a five-year bulk rate contract with Adelphia. The new rate including taxes will be approximately $28 a month. This is 50% savings compared to Adelphias' non-bulk rate. The new contract will take effect July 1st. Progress is being made on our property improvements. We have received initial bids for the painting of the Military Trail wall. From these bids it seems we will have the funds to paint all of our walls rather than just the Military Trail wall. There was discussion to change the current color. It was decided to wait until the next board meeting to decide on the final color. The Pheasant Way landscape proposal has been put out to bid after some minor changes were made. We are also seeking bids to replace the sign lighting at our entrance. These bids will be in by the first of April. It is the goal of this board to approve a vendor for these projects in April so work can begin as soon as possible. Palm Beach County Code Enforcement was not able to attend our board meeting. Homeowner violations that are not addressed after being notified by our property management will be turned over to the County for enforcement. We have received good news from the County on hurricane clean up cost reimbursement. The Community should receive some funds from the County and we are negotiating for more. The County is currently reviewing an itemized bill we supplied and should have an answer for us in the next few weeks. Don't forget our Annual Meeting and Election is Monday, April 4, 8 PM at Calusa Elementary School. All members are encouraged to attend and vote.
Sincerely,
Frank Yann
