Dear Members,
As you have all noticed, the landscape changes to our entrance are under way.
Unfortunately, we were unaware of the line repair project scheduled by Bell South
that has been interfering with completion of our project. Bell South has no
responsibility to notify the community in advance of their project but they have
advised us that they will complete their work as quickly as possible so our project
can be completed.
This issue contains a salute to our Golf Tournament Sponsors. The Golf
Tournament proceeds have been used to complete Phase One of the park clean-up
and have funded almost half of the landscape costs for the front entrance. Some of
our sponsors are residents of Pheasant Walk and some are local business owners or
community vendors.
I encourage you to consider using their services whenever you have a need. We
thank our sponsors and our golfers for their support and look forward to our 2004
tournament.
Picnic in the Park will be held on Sunday, March 14th. Ted Wallace has organized
this event each year and we expect a good turnout. This year's guest chef working
with Ted will be Dick Pope and he will bring copies of his Chicago hotdog
recipes. Check the website for times.
Our Annual Meeting will be held at Calusa Elementary School on April 5th at 7:30
PM. If you are interested in running for the Board of Directors, please contact
Monroe Miller, Chairman of the Nomination Committee, to insure your name is
included in the election process. I encourage you to attend.
At our last meeting, Bea Spindler, our Treasurer and long time resident of
Pheasant Walk, announced that she is in the process of selling her home and
moving to Boynton Beach.
Bea has served as a Board member for the past 2 years and on previous Boards. I
want to recognize and thank Bea for her efforts in support of Pheasant Walk. Bea
has been a tremendous help to me and the Board and we will miss her. We wish
you the best !
Sincerely,
Bill Schira
