Dear Members,
At the December meeting the board moved to begin a number of projects to repair damage from Wilma. We are seeking bids for repair and sealing of our dock, repair and replacement of the electrical system at our front entrance, and
repair and replacement of our street signs. We are working with the County for
clarification on what actions we are required to take in our park.Pheasant Way is largest area we need to work on. We have lost quite a few tress
over the last two hurricane seasons. A number of the trees still standing are
badly damaged and will need to be removed. Many of the smaller planting have
also been lost or damaged. The board is currently looking to develop a master
plan for all of the landscaping along Pheasant Way.We are exploring public fund matching programs to assist with the cost of the
Pheasant Way and park projects. Our insurance adjuster was here in December. We hope to know the amount we will receive by our February meeting. Items that
should be partially covered by the insurance are our electrical, system, dock,
and street signs. The board approved the 2006 budget at our December meeting. The dues increased about 5% from 2005. This was due to increases in the cost of services. You should have received your bill from Pointe Management in December. This is due in full by January 1st. If you have not received your bill or are not going to
have your payment made by January 1st please contact Pointe Management. The
board has been turning over delinquent homeowners to our attorney for
collection. This process does not cost Community but can easily double or triple
the cost to the individual homeowner. The board will be renewing our convents at our January meeting. You will receive
a packet in the mail explaining this process. On behalf of the Board of Directors, we wish you all a healthy and prosperous
2006.Sincerely
Frank Yann
