Dear Members,

I would like to start off this month with a genuine thank you to Laura Szabo for the work she has
done in our community. After three plus years as a volunteer Laura has resigned from her
positions as newsletter editor and finance committee member. Laura has been a great asset to the
community, always willing to step up when something needed done. If Laura ever feels like
doing a newsletter or budget again I am sure we have a place for her.

The newsletter will continue to be published. Pointe Management has agreed to take over the
newsletter for no additional charge. Laura has worked with Pointe Management on this transition
to ensure there is no interruption in your newsletter delivery.

With the weather finally cooperating the wall painting and tree trimming projects have been
completed. The painting of the peeling signposts has also began. This will be ongoing as needed.
The park/preserver clean up project is ready to be put out to bid. The goal of this project is to
remove the invasive plants from our entire park and preserve area. The reason for this project is
that invasive plant removal is required by Palm Beach County in Article 14 of the Unified Land
Development Code. If we do not comply with this code the community could be facing fines
from the County. This project is still in the planning and discussion stages with the current goal
of completion in 2006.

In this newsletter you will find the results of our survey. As of our August board meeting we had
received about 325 responses. This is a great response rate. Thank you for taking the time to fill
out and return your survey. There were many residents who took additional time to write
comments and suggestions to the board. The board members are currently reviewing these
comments and we will address these in future newsletters. Some residents asked to be contacted
but the survey had no contact information. You can always email the board with your questions
or concerns. Email addresses can be found at http://pheasantwalkhoa.com/contact.shtml . If
you do not have email or prefer to talk to a person you can call our management company, Pointe
Management. Their contact information is in every newsletter and on our website at the above
address.

At our August meeting the board created a Common Grounds Committee. This committee will
be responsible for making recommendations to the board on how funds should be spent on all of
our common areas. We hope they can begin work after our September board meeting. We are in
need of residents to serve on this committee. If you are interested please contact Pointe
Management.

Sincerely,
Frank Yann
