Dear Members:
Once again I am happy to report that the Board has approved several ARB
requests for significant exterior improvements to homes in Pheasant Walk.
Recent articles in the local news indicates that home values in Southern
Palm Beach County have risen by 17% on average. This is welcome news for
residents who are selling or refinancing their homes. Our Park Committee is in the process of developing park improvement phases.
For those of you who have visited the park recently, it is great to see the
extensive clearing and trail work accomplished by volunteer residents. The
Association has approved only a small portion of the available funds for
park improvements and hopefully the committee will come back to the Board
with recommendations that can be approached in phases. The park is a great
asset and the improvements are a welcome sight.Anyone wishing to volunteer a few hours of their time to assist the park
volunteers should contact the committee via the Pheasant Walk website or
call Pointe Management. It has been brought to the Board's attention that Palm Beach County
regulations limit the number of Garage Sales or Moving Sales that any
particular homeowner may have in a 12 month period to two. The Board would
appreciate your compliance with this regulation. The subject of a
community wide Garage Sales was also discussed. We welcome your feedback
on the possibility of organizing a community wide Garage Sale. The 2nd Annual Pheasant Walk Golf Tournament Entry form and Sponsorship
form is inserted in this issue of your newsletter. This year's tournament
will be held at the newly renovated Delray Municipal Golf Club on Saturday,
November 22nd. Hopefully we won't tear the new course up too much. The
Tournament Committee will be looking for Sponsors who are willing to invest
in a good program or donate raffle prizes. We suggest that players
register as early as possible. We expect to sell out as we did last year. The Tournament Committee Chairman, Brian Duffey will be conducting a very
brief tutorial on golf course etiquette just prior to our shotgun start.
All players are welcome to participate in this fun event. We are now well into Hurricane Season. Many of our local home improvement
stores offer free brochures that recommend steps you can take to protect
your property and help your family sustain the aftermath of a direct hit in
our area. We recommend that you take the proper precautions during the
unpredictable storm season. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to wish you all a great Labor
Day weekend. School is back in session. Please drive carefully.
Bill Schira, President
for the Board of Directors
