The meeting was held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19th at the firehouse. The commitee consisted of Ted Wallace, John Mollica, Bill Schira, Geoff Solomon and Tom Weiss. A curious Pheasant Walk homeowner came to see what we were planning, and will probably play in the tournament.
We agreed that we would like to see the proceeds go toward fence painting, and would like for the Board to make a motion and approve this.
All of the committee members agreed to pursue sponsors and participants as well. I've already spoken to a few businesses who will participate to some degree.
We will have a notice about the tournament ready to insert in the August newsletter. Jackie Harper will also have a piece about the tournament in the newsletter itself. Gary Schroepfer will put additional things on channel 63, also.
The cost to each golfer will be $55.00 -- with spouse $100.00. Students and juniors can participate for $45.00. This will include greens fees, cart, lunch and more.
We will be having prizes for the raffle. There will also be a putting contest, longest drive, closest to the pin and other prizes as well.
The committee will meet again in late August, late September and mid-October.
