Board of Directors Meeting Minutes - August 9, 2006
The August 9th 2006 meeting was called to order by Brent Hoover at 7:36 P.M. Present were Rich Leight, Diane Soffer and Brenda Huntington. Absent were Ken Paulsen and Eric Estebanez from Point Management.
Diane Soffer read the minutes for July 12th and July 26th. The minutes were approved with a minor Correction.
Covenant Committee: Bonnie Weldon said the owner of the blue house has agreed to have it repainted. a color palette is being put together with accepted colors.
Grounds Committee: Jack Soffer reported That Our appointed Liaison Mike Comier is working well with Browards Landscaping Liaison, and Pheasant Way is beginning to look manicured.
Park Committee: The perimeter of the park has to be cleared to allow inspection of the fences. Rich Heinika volunteered to query a construction Company for equipment & operator to do the clearing.
Playground Committee: David Hager reported on the missing and damaged parts for the play ground equipment. David volunteered his labor. He can fix it for a cost of $612.00 plus tax.
Welcoming Committee: Joan Petratist reported 7 brochures and gifts were given to new homeowners. Residents were happy to receive them.
Security Committee: Joe Powers Provided copies of the PBSO report to date for the year.
Street Sign Committee: At the meeting time the missing sign poles and signs that were ordered had not yet been received.
Communication Committee: No report given.
Architectural Committee: Dick Pope reported this month was slow.
Fence Committee: Ginny has been investigating several kinds of fences leaving no stone unturned. Brenda requested the fence committee investigate covering the sidewalk
with sod, plant hedges, and place a winding side walk on the other side.
Golf Committee: Scheduled for October 21st; the sign up form will be included in the next Newsletter. All are welcome.
Neither the Treasurers report nor the Managers report were given.
Old Business: Brenda stated all documentation needed has been sent to the insurance Company. The Lake Maintenance company had not contacted Dick Pope since Jan.
so they will be informed they are not performing up to their contract, and therefore their contract will be canceled. Motion was carried unanimously.
New Business: Gregor Shuessler provided a proposal for painting remaining 80 street light poles; the motion to accept the bid carried unanimously.
An issue was raised about the School bus stop. Discussion was held to finding a way to prevent damage to home owner lawns. We are looking into rerouting the bus to the end of P.W.
A resident informed the board about a missing stop sign; Brent stated that temporary stop signs should be used until the real ones come in.
Sheri Scarboroough, from our new management company P.A.C., was introduced with resounding applause. At 9:15 P.M .Diane Soffer made a motion to adjourn the meeting
and Brenda Hunting seconded it. It carried unanimously.
