Legal correspondence is included in your packets.The 2005 Budget and Maintenance coupon were mailed out earlier this week.
We have received a copy of the letter sent to Palm Beach County from Joseph Garwood of Katzman & Korr. A copy of the letter is enclosed in your packets. The response from the County is also enclosed. Bill Schira drafted a letter to Commissioner McCarty regarding the hurricane costs and the response from the county.
West Boca Irrigation has fixed the irrigation pump. Water damage to the bearings was not covered under warranty. The cost including labor will be $410.00. A check is enclosed in tonight's check run. The Board should discuss whether or not the bill should be paid. There are still 3 zone valves that are not opening due to a wire break. These should be up and running within a week.
A copy of the PBSO detail sign-up sheet is enclosed in your packets. It needs to be signed and the hours specified so our office can coordinate with them to schedule the patrols. This issue was ratified at the last meeting.
We have received written response from Rick Torrence from Palm Beach County Code Enforcement regarding the recent violation for the removal of a Brazilian Pepper in the Park / Turtle Sanctuary area. He has stated in writing that we may remove the Brazilian Pepper without a permit and once removed, we are to contact him so he may reinspect and bring this issue to a close. Two bids were received regarding the removal of the tree plus stump grinding. These bids have been brought to tonight's meeting. There is also an additional tree by the lake that was missed from the hurricane. It is located behind Spring Tree Lane. This tree is also included in the bids.
A letter to the homeowner regarding the Military Trail Gate issue has been sent. A copy will be distributed to the Board of Directors.
Wackenhut sent the office the Addendum #2 contract extension. The contract period would run from December 12, 2004 - December 11, 2007. Rates are reflected in the contract. A copy is included in your packets.
Code Enforcement has been sent the updated details of the homes meeting their criteria.
