MANAGER’S REPORT
AUGUST 2005The July Violation log is included in your packet. This log was also faxed to Code Enforcement to Robert Rajewski.
A letter from Bocaire was received regarding hedge height & fencing. A copy is included in your packets.
Legal updates from the attorney are included in your packets.
The cleaning and painting of the wall project is mostly completed.
The current editor of the newsletter has resigned. The Board should discuss whether they want management to put out the August and future issues or have a resident take over the newsletter.
The final results of the survey are in your board packets. The actual surveys were dropped off to Frank Yann. These surveys contained quite a few comments & suggestions for the board to review.
Tree Trimming from Palm Beach-Broward Landscaping is mostly completed. The cutting schedule was enclosed with the packets.
The owners with incorrect mailboxes were turned over to the attorney 8-1-05. Only two responses were received from the last mailing.
The park equipment is in need of repair. Modular bridges and replacement swings were discussed. Information regarding these items was passed out at the last meeting. The Board needs to decide whether or not to repair the equipment so that proper estimates can be obtained.
A color chart for stain colors will be presented at the meeting for selection of color for the park sidewalk.
We have begun the painting of the bottom of the street sign poles. They will be finished in a few days.
The County scheduled a meting to discuss the reimbursement. That meeting was cancelled in July. A new meeting was held and the outcome is still under review due to the fact that the commissioner and the engineer are on vacation until next week. The secretary Lucia stated it will probably be another 2 weeks before an answer is received.
We are pending bids from Sign-a-Rama and Speedy for the street signs in need of re-stenciling. Sign-a-Rama delivered the county sign & park sign to our office on 8-9-05. They will be put up in the park.
An RFP for the removal of invasive trees in the park was developed. This RFP needs to be approved by the Board so that we can contact 3 landscape companies to bid on it. A copy of the RFP will be presented to the board at the meeting.
The dock has become slippery due to the accumulation of mildew. We have received a proposal from Gabe Storace Painting to clean and seal the dock for $900. Creative ceilings has been contacted for another proposal.
