Golf Committee Update 8/25/03
The Golf Committee conducted its first meeting on July 22, 2003. Members present were: Bill Schira, Greg Edlund, Hugh Holson and Brian Duffey. Here are the key points from our meeting:
Anyone & everyone is invited to participate in the golf committee meetings and especially in the tourney! All level of golfers welcome. This is definitely a fun, relaxed non-competitive neighborhood event! Trust us, if you saw how Duffey & Mollica play, you’d know we mean ALL LEVELS of golfers welcome!
Last year the tourney raised over $4,300.00 to benefit the community, this year our goal is to increase that by 20%! This is a fun way to get to know your neighbors and help the community at the same time. We need your support – volunteers welcome!
· The tourney will be held on November 22, 2003, shotgun start at 8:00 a.m
· The location will be the newly renovated Delray Municipal Golf Course (same as last year)
· The price will be - $55.00 per person (the same as last year, includes greens fees, ½ golf cart, lunch & lots more
· There will be great prizes for the raffle, putting contest, longest drive, closest to pin, etc.
· Anyone who is interested in being a sponsor please contact the golf committee ($100.00 Silver Tee sponsorships or $500.00 Gold sponsorship (includes 4 spots in the tourney - a $220.00 value!)
· The schedule of committee meetings is as follows: Aug. 26, Sep. 23, Oct. 28, Nov. 18, all meetings start at 7:30 p.m. and conclude promptly at 9:00 p.m., the meetings are held at the homes of various committee members please call for more information
